- Research the area and region you intend to invest in thoroughly - visits to the region are strongly recommended.
- Know why you are buying the property - personal use, investment or both.
- Know what your budget is and make sure you allow for additional costs over and above the property price (Agents Fees, Taxes etc)
- Stick by the decisions you have made in terms of requirements
- Ensure your financial arrangements are in place and funds are available - shop around for finance and consider all options.
- Ensure the agent(s) / developer(s) you chose to deal with are a registered company and registered with the local Estate Agents Association.

Many customers do decide to buy whilst in Turkey but others prefer to make that decision at home and either return to Turkey at a later date to complete their purchase or appoint a Power of Attorney to complete the final buying process on their behalf.
